I can tailor-make your hiking experience to fit your needs and tastes. Perhaps a long-distance hike with scenic desert/mountain vistas, an exploration of the areas only "cave system", a quiet meander through colorful canyons, a stroll along a forested trail with vistas of a lake and high country mountains. Share with me what you like and I'll do my best to take you there!

"Let me guide you to perhaps Southern California's
largest and most exotic "Slot Canyon
...inside the San Andreas Fault!"

Group Hikes

Does your office, club, business, church etc. need to get away, recreate and re-discover their love of nature? Perhaps your group wants to take up a healthy lifestyle addition, learn about local history, geology, flora and fauna, or just have a fun day together in nature, team building.

The Orocopia Mountain Wilderness found 50 miles east of Palm Desert. A magical playground of uplifted red and multi-colored canyons, stratified mesas and plateaus suggesting the red-rock area of Moab and south-central Utah. You really get-away-from-it-all out there in this rock lover's paradise.

I can also treat you to the closer Mecca Hills, Box Canyon and Painted Canyon area, where geologists from all over California journey to explore and examine the colorful uplifted, contorted hills and rock formations impacted by the San Andreas Fault. The mysterious slot canyon known as Ladder Canyon leads you into the acclaimed exotic beauty of Painted Canyon...but I know other places, too, seldom visited that will excite your sense of adventure while offering you the best in desert beauty.

Joshua Tree National Park, just north and east of Palm Springs gives you many hiking trails to explore and discover the unique rock formations of one of our nation's newest National Park.

The Palm Springs Indian Canyons offers you miles of hiking trail, both in the palm tree-filled main canyons and on the wide-vista trails above the canyons that lead into the wilderness and awesome mountain heights above!

The San Jacinto/Santa Rosa Mountains/National Monument. Tired of the desert heat, sand and traffic? I'll share with you the cool mountain trails above the Coachella Valley, including the nationally known Pacific Crest Trail. You can visit ridge trails that offer grand vistas of the Coachella Valley, hike through quiet pine forests, or scale the mountains above the resort town of Idyllwild. The four seasons at your fingertips!

A full moon hike in exotic desert/canyon settings...like walking through an Ansel Adams gallery!

The area offers several nature preserves where wildlife is protected and can often be seen, especially bird life. Great for small children.
